The Sunday Group

Well, here we all are, well almost. Ross is missing due to finals and Brian was gone being fireman. We missed them but understood why they couldn't make it. I thought these turned out pretty good. I'm not sure about all the potato head pieces or who Jake(Lindsey's friend) is giving the glare to, but we had a great time! Thanks for making our Sundays so memorable. We love you!!

The Kids & Mickey

When we took our family pictures, we took Mickey Mouse along to help Adam smile. The photographer managed to get a picture of Mickey with them all.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

For all those Texans out there, just thought I would show you what kind of weather we are having today. Snow, snow, and more snow. Our street is completely white.

Someone Loves a Baby and Caught in the Act

Adam has loved Grant from the very first day he was born. He just loves him so much. He gets so excited when we tell him "the baby" is coming over. Adam always wants to share his toys with him and be right by him. This weekend he sat with Chris and got to hold him. He was very proud.

Adam also loves our little Disney tree. We have tried super hard to teach him not to take the ornaments off the tree and just to look at them. Jeff caught him "just looking".

I know it's hard to see in the picture, but this is our new Disney tree. Adam loves it!

Halloween Part 2

I thought I would make a separate blog for the videos. (So don't forget to scroll down for the first set of pictures.) You can see from them that Adam REALLY likes Halloween. I couldn't believe how quickly he picked up on the trick or treating. He was so funny.

Now a Basketball Star!

Jacob had a basketball game on Sat. He was amazing. He scored 20 points. He felt so bad for the other team he even scored 2 points for them. (that's the last clip) Here are just a few of the highlights. My favorite moment was when he had a wide open shot but instead passed it to the girl on his team. What a player!

Touchdown!

Jacob has been playing flag football. Last night was his last game. He did a great job, ending the season with a great touchdown run. Way to go Jacob!

Still Waiting....

Well, we are not sure what's up with our blog. We might have to start a new account. I now have it set up on both computers, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Be patience with us. Don't give up on us.

Well considering that I can't blog anything at the moment, I guess that's not too bad.

So I didn't know that my blog was coming to you a different color. Chris finally said something the other day. Jeff and I saw our blog with a dark brown background with white letters, apparently you saw it lighter so it was hard to read. Sorry, I just didn't know. My pictures are not uploading either so as soon as I fix everything I can blog something new.

Disneyland

Here are our pictures of Disneyland. Needless to say we had a great time! We missed all that couldn't come, maybe next time. Just a few memories: Jacob rode California Screamin for the first time, it turned out to be his new favorite ride; They got me on The Tower of Terror, that ride is hilarious. I don't know if you can see the picture good enough, but they all made fun of it. Jenny was brave and rode Thunder Mountain(she couldn't be shown up by G and PomPom), Chris rode Dumbo for the first time, we all tried to beat Ryan at Buzz, I think David did once, Jackson rode Matterhorn and the Goofy rollercoaster, Devin and Cory had a lot of first time rides, it was so fun to have them with us. Sunday dinner at Hook's Point, I wish so bad that I had a video of everyone eating that awesome dessert. I only got ONE bite. We even survived a little earthquake. And of course watching the little ones get so excited about the characters they saw. Thanks for all the fun memories!

Where are they now?

I've been doing some cleaning out of closets and found a whole bunch of pictures. Thought I would share some memories. The picture of Christy, David, and John together was taken at the hospital the day Jacquelyn was born. (Papa in the background) Enjoy!!

Run like the wind

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I have to agree with all of you that I thought that was great. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would say I ran that long. I loved working towards something like that and then the feeling you have when have done it. I loved all the stories, laughs, singing, and I guess even the aches and pains. I now know why people kept telling me that it wasn't 13 miles but 13.1 miles. I think that was the hardest part for me. I loved that Kevin had enough energy to come back looking for us. I have to admit, that will be one of my fondest memories. Disneyland 1/2 marathon, here we come!!!!

The Eagle Has Landed!

Yippee!!! We survived our first Eagle Project. Ryan decided to make blankets for Primary Children's Hospital. He had a week off from football and wanted to work hard to get it done during that time. It turned out to be a great project. The first part of the project was picking out all the fabric. Then he got them all home and had to come up with his plan to make them all into blankets. He ended up having a FHE with all the family here which turned out to be GREAT! At least I hope they thought it was great too. Then his teacher's quorum came over one night. He also had a couple of ladies in our ward volunteer to help make some. They all turned out so cute. I just know all the babies/children at Primary Children's are going to love them. I must say, Jeff and I are very proud of Ryan. He really did a great job! Way to go Ryan!

A "Magical" Vacation

Well, I know it's been awhile since I blogged. But you know how it is when you are on vacation. In a nutshell, we had a fabulous time. The cruise was amazing and very relaxing. Even though it rained a bit, we still managed to have so much fun. The first night we just got famliar with the ship and watched a fun show. I think that was the night that everyone went to the midnight showing of Ratatioulle (sp), that is except Adam and I. I was feeling the rocking of the boat a bit much and decided I better go to bed. From what I heard, everyone liked it. The day at Nassau was fun. We ended up taking a short tour of the city and Atlantis. The next day was our day at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. That was really fun. Our ship was the only one that docked there well I guess the Flying Dutchman made it's stop there. Scary!! It was a great place, lots of fun things to do and a lot of beach. Ryan and Jeff did some snorkeling. Every night we had a great dinner and show to watch. Ryan really enjoyed the pizza buffet around the 10:00 hour. The soft ice cream machine wasn't bad either, although probably not too good for the waistline. Then it was off to Disneyworld! I always forget just how big that place is until I get there. Once again, despite the crazy Florida weather, we managed to have a fantastic time. It was almost like clock work, right around 4:00p.m. it would rain. Sometimes it would just rain enough to cool things off, other times it would really rain, like thunder/lightening and things would shut down. We often caught in those rainstorms on the way to the bus. We got soaked. The place we stayed had some fun boats to rent and had a really fun pool. Some mornings we would just stay and play at the hotel and then go to the parks in the afternoon. It was fun to celebrate Kasey's birthday there. I told her she will always remember her 10th birthday. One of the highlights of the trip was getting G and PomPom to ride Thunder Mountain with us. The kids really had fun with that. Hopefully in the video you can see them, I just wish you could hear G screaming. Pretty darn funny!! You will also notice a picture of them holding hands. The entire trip they were always holding hands. I'll say it again what a wonderful time we had. We made some lasting memories that we will never forget. (My scanner is acting weird so I'll have to blog the cruise pictures later)

By the way John, I'm pretty sure that Goofy isn't a cow.

Just Checking In

I have no picture but thought I better write something for fear of the "probabation warning". This week has been a crazy weather week. It's kind of been an "all season" week, a little bit of everything. Well, I'm happy to report that after giving my knee a rest for several days, I went back to running today and it did pretty good. I was a little nervous when it hurt so bad before. I got me a fancy knee brace, I've been told that l look like a professional now. Well, you know, it's all about the looks.
Hope everyone is having a good week.

Can you say "8"

That's right! I did 8 miles today. I could have gone longer but my knee gave out. I was feeling so good so I was pretty bummed. I'm sure I looked like a damsel in distress running on State Street. I sure hope I can fix that problem. Thought I would share my good news. If you would have asked me a month ago if I could have ran that, I would have laughed and said no way!

GO JAZZ GO JAZZ GO JAZZ GO JAZZ GO JAZZ

We took our traditional trip to Moab with our neighbors this weekend. Like always it was loads of fun! We did some hiking, relaxing, and a lot of swimming. The weather was perfect. I think we captured the new Astros billboard in our pictures. I'm sure you will know which one it is.

Take me out to the ball game

Jacob's first baseball game. He did awesome!! He got a great hit and was even safe at that close play at home. He was very cute, especially in the dugout. He was so proud that Ryan came to watch, he kept waving at him. He was the big baseball player now!
Enjoy!
