The Eagle Has Landed!

Yippee!!! We survived our first Eagle Project. Ryan decided to make blankets for Primary Children's Hospital. He had a week off from football and wanted to work hard to get it done during that time. It turned out to be a great project. The first part of the project was picking out all the fabric. Then he got them all home and had to come up with his plan to make them all into blankets. He ended up having a FHE with all the family here which turned out to be GREAT! At least I hope they thought it was great too. Then his teacher's quorum came over one night. He also had a couple of ladies in our ward volunteer to help make some. They all turned out so cute. I just know all the babies/children at Primary Children's are going to love them. I must say, Jeff and I are very proud of Ryan. He really did a great job! Way to go Ryan!

A "Magical" Vacation

Well, I know it's been awhile since I blogged. But you know how it is when you are on vacation. In a nutshell, we had a fabulous time. The cruise was amazing and very relaxing. Even though it rained a bit, we still managed to have so much fun. The first night we just got famliar with the ship and watched a fun show. I think that was the night that everyone went to the midnight showing of Ratatioulle (sp), that is except Adam and I. I was feeling the rocking of the boat a bit much and decided I better go to bed. From what I heard, everyone liked it. The day at Nassau was fun. We ended up taking a short tour of the city and Atlantis. The next day was our day at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. That was really fun. Our ship was the only one that docked there well I guess the Flying Dutchman made it's stop there. Scary!! It was a great place, lots of fun things to do and a lot of beach. Ryan and Jeff did some snorkeling. Every night we had a great dinner and show to watch. Ryan really enjoyed the pizza buffet around the 10:00 hour. The soft ice cream machine wasn't bad either, although probably not too good for the waistline. Then it was off to Disneyworld! I always forget just how big that place is until I get there. Once again, despite the crazy Florida weather, we managed to have a fantastic time. It was almost like clock work, right around 4:00p.m. it would rain. Sometimes it would just rain enough to cool things off, other times it would really rain, like thunder/lightening and things would shut down. We often caught in those rainstorms on the way to the bus. We got soaked. The place we stayed had some fun boats to rent and had a really fun pool. Some mornings we would just stay and play at the hotel and then go to the parks in the afternoon. It was fun to celebrate Kasey's birthday there. I told her she will always remember her 10th birthday. One of the highlights of the trip was getting G and PomPom to ride Thunder Mountain with us. The kids really had fun with that. Hopefully in the video you can see them, I just wish you could hear G screaming. Pretty darn funny!! You will also notice a picture of them holding hands. The entire trip they were always holding hands. I'll say it again what a wonderful time we had. We made some lasting memories that we will never forget. (My scanner is acting weird so I'll have to blog the cruise pictures later)

By the way John, I'm pretty sure that Goofy isn't a cow.
